“Most people who seek a love for fame, creativity, and art inspire to move to cities like LA. In the Midwest, it’s assumed that you don’t have too much creativity happening. Maybe the reason I started TREND45 there was to build a community at large, but I digress. I was lucky to have my aunt work at Universal Studios in Hollywood. My Dad would fly me down there for the summers. I’d spend my time there riding around in backlot at Universal Studios” (Lewbel, Remy. Personal Interview. 25 July 2020). Remy Lewbel dreamed of a backstage lifestyle of celebrities and actors at an early age. Lewbel planned to follow in their footsteps one day. “I remember always getting in trouble with security ‘cause I would be sneaking around sets and watching movies being built and set up. It was better than watching a movie in the theater” (Lewbel, Remy. Personal Interview. 25 July 2020). Over the years between 1996 and now, Lewbel had been to Los Angeles more times than he could count. Remy Lewbel started taking modeling seriously in 2016 and booking shoots in around Downtown Los Angeles. Between 2016-2019 Remy would start forming connections in the city he vowed to move to after school. In 2019 Remy Lewbel and Elizabeth Lupu were spotted together in a red Ferrari 488 in Beverly Hills, California. “Bougie kids’ man. We were living a fast life” (Lewbel, Remy. Lewbel, Lupu, Nguyen, McCullen, Jenkins, and Irene were also seen together in Los Angeles on 14 September 2019, celebrating Remy’s 23rd birthday in Downtown Los Angeles.
